BIBLIOGRAPHY
Having remained much the same for 30 years, since I first released my Bf109 "hyperbook" on floppy disk for the Amiga computer in 1992, a flurry of angry emails about the information being out-of-date and causing heated arguments on internet forums, caused me to update the website, particularly the list of different Bf109 versions, in 2024. In doing so, I consulted all the internet pages listed above; I also looked at various arguments on internet forums about Bf109 development. A lot of sources clash (for example the two Wikipedia pages conflict on several points); where there is disagreement I've tried to go with the most widely accepted modern version but point out the alternatives.
I also consulted:
"The Messerschmitt Bf109 - Part 1 - Prototype to "E" Variants" by Lynn Ritger. SAM Publications , 2005. ISBN: 0-9551858-0-7.
"The Messerschmitt Bf109 - Part 2 - "F" to "K" Variants" by Lynn Ritger. SAM Publications. ISBN: 0-9551858-1-5. Both of these volumes are outstanding.

These were the books on the Bf 109 I consulted when first writing my title for the Amiga Computer back in 1992. They have since been superceeded by a whole new generation of new research on the aircraft.
